Why I Write
Writing is powerful. Writing realises thought into tangible substance, to tinker with and to explore.
I saw essays, and writing as simply another assessment. Something that had to be done, for the sake of it. Recently, this is something that I regret. I have begun to grasp the beauty of realising thoughts into words and asserting my opinions with clarity.
For me, writing is about:
Communication - We do not exist alone. Great things required great people. We must work together to achieve great things, and clear communication is the bridge. Writing hones this skill, so that we can share our dreams and build together.
Extended Cognition - The idea that the mind exists outside the body in external tools and the environment. Writing is more than putting words on a page - it is stored linguistic computation (aka Cached Thoughts, allowing me to build upon thoughts of the past. Writing down and reflecting upon them sharpens the clarity and deepens the complexity of thought, providing a space to evolve and expand upon them.
